Jacqui Symons is an artist and designer who works in printmaking, paper and design. Based at Woodend Mill in Mossley, she constantly takes inspiration from the surrounding countryside and nearby Peak District. This love of nature and the environment is apparent in her work, especially her printmaking in which she uses leaves to create intricate and detailed monoprints.

Jacqui also uses computer graphics to create large-scale montage and collage style pieces, both working with her own images and also using artworks created in group sessions and workshops. These often take the form of composite pieces, which showcase individual artworks in a final high-quality and complete artwork.

With a strong background in community and hospital arts, she also enjoys working with other people to help them develop their creativity and confidence. She works in a variety of different settings including hospitals, mental health units and centres, staff workshops, youth groups, children’s centres, schools and other community groups.
